Halloween

I know I'm a little late, but Halloween was so much fun and the kids were so cute - I just had to share!

Our little lady bug - She did really well at keeping the hood on and she smiled at everyone.

The ward did a trunk-or-treat again this year. As expected, they loved receiving candy. The most exciting part for them and for us was getting dressed up.

Tori's Crazy Hair Day

Tori's school doesn't allow the children to dress up for halloween. Instead they have red ribbon week and the kids get to wear something different everyday. One day was crazy socks day, wear your shirt backwards day, .... Well, Halloween was crazy hair day. After about 20 minutes in the bathroom this is what emerged!

As a result of the twisted and tied pony tails her hair was extremely frizzy; it was perfect for her halloween costume.

Down on the farm

A couple of weeks ago we took the kids to a farm. There were fun activities and plenty of opportunities for great pictures.

Avalon is growing so much and is such the little sweetheart. She has gotten so much personality over the last few months.

The Browns came down from Salt Lake to visit us. It was so good to see them. Amanda was playing with Avi while they waited.

Tori taught Wade how to swing a few weeks ago. He loves it!

This morning, after eating breakfast, he went out for a quick swing before pre-school.

A little baseball and basketball...

Avi begged me to play baseball with her the other day. She did pretty well when I was able to help her. As I was taking pictures she tried to hit the ball herself and it was really fun to watch. A little mixed between golf and baseball - either way, we were outside and she loved it!

She outfitted herself with Tori's rain boots and a pair of really cute legs!

At the same time, Wade wanted to play basketball. Believe it or not, he shoots a pretty good percentage. He loves anything to do with a ball.

We love the warm weather!

Conference Weekend and Visitors

Conference Weekend

Keeping the kids a little quiet and a bit more reverent during conference was a little challenging. We played a few games and colored to keep them occupied.

and relaxed...

My parents came down for a short visit. They were on "a trip" with Uncle John and Aunt Pat. I have to note that it wasn't a vacation because being retired is vacation - they take "trips." They visited the Grand Canyon and for the weekend drove down to see us. We are always so happy to see family and friends from Salt Lake - especially my parents.

Mom and Dad left early on Monday. The kids had just gotten up and were saying goodbye.
